Balance Bikes – Small Versions of Regular Two-wheeled Bicycles

The balance bike is basically a small version of an ordinary two-wheeled bicycle. They are also sometimes known as running motors. These models, however, come without pedals. The aim is to enable children to develop the skills and confidence they need when they get older and want to ride an ordinary bicycle.

In order to function properly, a balanced bicycle must be small enough so that the rider can walk the bicycle while sitting comfortably in the saddle, placing both feet flat on the ground. If you are looking for a decent balance bike for your kids, online shopping would be an ideal way. You can find a huge variety of children bikes via (also known as barnesykkel gjennom in Norwegian)

The first rider walks the bicycle while standing on the saddle, then while sitting on the saddle. Finally, the rider feels comfortable enough to run and "run" while riding a bicycle, then lifts both feet off the ground and sails while balancing on two wheels. A child might, for example, start using a balance bike by straddling the bar and almost walking together.

They will feel in control of their balance and, if they have a shake, they can quickly improve. When they become more confident they will usually end up using a chair. They may still keep their feet on the ground to begin with, but in the end they will push themselves to start and then slide with their feet off the ground.

Balance bikes, on the other hand, are all about teaching children how to balance and develop equestrian coordination skills for themselves. So, for example, this type of bicycle:

  • Teach them vital balance, coordination and steering skills.
  • Enables them to develop skills at their own pace.
  • Encourage them to move towards relevant bicycle riding skills as they become more capable and confident.
  • Makes them feel safer because they control their own actions.
